The Goods: It's been a few years since I had been to Respect. Silly of me since I have such a lust for this music deep down. There's nothing like waltzing in to a joint and the floor is already filled with dancers in junglist formation. Facing the stage, dancing solo, respecting the beats.. its all a good sweaty vibe with little need for lights or even buttonups. Upstairs they of course had some nice downtempo grooves to compliment the cool gray Hollywood night sky and smoky patio. If there's any place in L.A. to get down with the Drum 'n Bass on a Thursday night, it is at Respect!
