A friend and old coworker told me about this show, I heard her bf's band jamming on tape once at lunch, so I was eager to check em out live. The CIA in North Hollywood caught me off guard. Nice dimly lit sign off the side of Burbank Blvd., but the welcoming clown smiling on the gate is was surprised me. This joint is like an old Hollywood carnie museum, like an acid trip of lights and dolls and circus floors and shiny walls.
